Silvester 2019 in Eileens irischer Bar in Kilcrohane (County Cork) im Südwesten Irlands: Ausgelassen feiert ab 21 Uhr das halbe Dorf den Jahreswechsel im und vor dem Pub, prosten sich jung und alt mit Irish Stout zu, man unterhält sich, isst Sandwiches am Kamin und tanzt zu Discomusik der 1980er Jahre. Nach dem traditionellen “Auld Lang Syne” um Mitternacht startet das neue Jahrzehnt mit einem kleinen aber feinen Feuerwerk (auch wenn “private” Feuerwerke in Irland an sich verboten sind …). New Year’s Eve 2019 in Eileen’s Irish Bar in Kilcrohane (County Cork) in the southwest of Ireland: Half the village celebrates the turn of the year at the pub from 9 pm on, young and old raise their glasses to another with Irish Stout, chatting, eating sandwiches by the fireplace and dancing to the disco music of the 1980s. After the traditional “Auld Lang Syne” at midnight, the new decade starts with a small but fine firework (even if “private” fireworks usually are forbidden in Ireland …). Happy New Year!
